Design

Always aware of the latest trends, be it a smart contemporary style or classical vintage and art deco styles of rings, pendants, earrings bangles and cuffs, SWS will work with you through the design process. They will work with you to create exquisite wedding bands and eternity rings to compliment your engagement ring.

It starts with your dreams and ideas. Sandy and Rod sit down and personally consult with you, taking your ideas and convert them into basic sketches. Dimensions that are dependent on your personal preferences with choice of gems are factored in and noted. Sandy creates a working sketch complete with notes so that you will be able to see how the design will look in terms of proportion. Valuable advice is given for ways to improve and enhance the concept. Quite often several sketches are made and sent to you with prices so that you have time to consider the work as a whole at your leisure.

Colour technical drawings in 1:1 scale can also be produced, and these are yours when the crafting is complete. But as they are time consuming an additional modest charge will apply.

They love nothing better than creating an elegant contemporary design with little hints of vintage accent which give the piece the that classic timeless look.

Sandy has been awarded the prestigious ‘Finalist’ accolade at the JAA Australasian Jewellery Awards for the stunning abalone pearl pendant “Callirhoe”. This is testimony to her ability to fill the client brief of;

“A piece which complimented the hues of the pearl while respecting the fluidity of the environment from which was borne”
